Family – Faith – Honor – Respect - Courage
Extracurricular activities are very important to the Ben Bolt – Palito Blanco ISD and community. Participation at all levels in a variety of activities throughout the school district is highly encouraged. Participating in extracurricular activities is a privilege, and with that privilege comes responsibilities and requirements.
Students are expected to conduct themselves in an exemplary fashion that will be a source of pride to the school district and the community.
An extracurricular participant is a representative of the school at all times during the year, not only when they participate (weekends, summer, 24/7; 365 days a year). The term “extracurricular activity” means, without limitation, all interscholastic athletics, academic clubs, band, cheerleading, choir, special interest clubs, student government, and any other activity or group that participates in contest, competitions, or community service projects on behalf of or as a representative of BBPB ISD.
We appreciate the commitment that so many of our young people make to support the
programs in Ben Bolt – Palito Blanco. Those athletes that give the "extra effort" to improve are the backbone of the tradition of excellence we enjoy. We feel strong about what athletics teaches our young people. Athletics is an excellent opportunity for learning lessons of sportsmanship, determination, and acceptance of responsibility.
Through athletics the student athlete learns the meaning of teamwork, goal-setting and self-confidence. It teaches a student athlete how to handle the successes as well as the failures of life. We hope that our athletes will benefit from these lessons as strive to create a culture of producing citizens of character and integrity.
WORK HARD PLAY HARD!
